 Ans:- Transistor are three terminal devices.    Of three semiconductor layers.transistor consists of two p-n junction formed by sandwiching either  .  p-type or  n-type semiconductor between a pair of opposite   types.One p-n junction of a transistor is reverse biased ,whereas the other is forward biased. There are two types of transistor.                                                                      i) p-n-p                                                      ii) n-p-n BJT is a current control device.

 Ans : Transistor is a three layer semiconductor device consisting of either two n- and one p type layers of material.  The former is called and n-p-n transistor, and the two p- type and one n type layers of material is called p-n-p transistor.
